Kai'a Elakhi

  • ㅤtrue nameㅤㅤKai'a.

  • ㅤstolen namesㅤㅤA'ranoh. D'anso. R'shek. V'lyarin. Xipil'li. Ahz'a.

  • ㅤpronounsㅤㅤhe/him.

  • ㅤageㅤㅤ22.

  • ㅤclanㅤㅤKeeper of the Moon miqo'te.

  • ㅤheightㅤㅤ4'8" (146.4cm)

  • ㅤpersonalityㅤ The figure before you is short of stature, moreso than most of his kind. Platinum blond locks frame his masked face, the majority of the length tied back. His legs are proportionally long, and his tail seems almost obnoxious in it's length. Fully furred and fluffed, the tip of that long tail is even fluffier than the rest of it. His pointed ears seem to swivel between the people surrounding him, keeping an auditory watch over his surroundings. Clothes are loose and unfitted, seeming to swallow up his frame whole. A mask stares seemingly through you, wooden visage giving nothing away in terms of his facial features. However, at the right angles, you can see markings adorning his jaw, typical of Keepers of the Moon.

ㅤbiography.ㅤ Dravanian-born and Shroud raised, this masked Conjurer and generations of his family have been a staple of the shaded boughs of the Twelveswood and rolling foothills of Dravania for generations. Many comparisons have been drawn between the mask-wearing Elakhi and their profession of chasing disaster around Eorzea. Some call them vultures and vipers, others equate their work to uplifting wings of salvation. These mask-wearers carry deeply entrenched family tradition, still wearing wooden masks to stave off any potential Green Wrath. They chase disasters, whether they be natural disasters, pox and plague, conflict-wrought injuries, and render free-of-charge aid to the victims. Not every Elakhi has preferred the same method-- some are purely alchemists that mend with potions and tinctures. Some are purely triage specialty that open up the body with scalpel and reseal wounds with stitches. Some still are conjurers, purely using aetherical healing to mend broken bones and purify illness. All the same, if you'd found yourself down on your luck in the Shroud, there's a non-zero chance you may've been helped by a masked figure who refused to take any sort of payment for services rendered.Kai'a, himself, has settled on a happy mix-- preferring to use the potions and salves taught to him by his grandfather or the triage techniques imparted upon him by his father. He's well-published, a downfall of his own hubris, the papers were written by and published under his true name. Most of his papers are over native plants, their ranges, and most importantly, their medical derivatives and aetherical properties. There are a handful of medications within these papers that were pioneered by the alchemist. In addition, he's published two books. Floral Triage Vol 1: Eorzean Natives. Each set of pages covers a specific plant. It's native ranged, drawings of it's flower structure and leaf shapes, notable aspects like strong scents or variegation patterns. There must be hundreds of plants catalogued, the back half of the book devoted to alchemical recipes. Nothing complex, all simple medicines that one might be able to make at home. Worded for the common folk to understand. There's a second volume: Floral Triage Vol 2: Hingashi & Othardian Natives. As one might expect, it's much the same but the plants are those native to the Far Eastern. You'll find the masked Conjurer continuing his services with the Stillglade Fane under the moniker A'ranoh; and running a small tea-and-smoke house in the Mists.

Hooks

ㅤDoctor.ㅤ He is a talented alchemist and healer both. Perhaps you have need of a particular potion, balm, or cure. His services come highly recommended from the Conjurer's Guild and his private clients alike. He specializes in purification magics-- cleansing of poisons and toxins of all varieties along with soothing aetherical imbalances of one's soul. He's adept at untangling mysteries of the body.ㅤDevotion.ㅤ perhaps once each moon, he teaches classes somewhat infrequently at the stillglade fane. You might have seen him around the guild if you frequent it. despite never passing full muster as a Conjurer himself, his talents with purification magick have earned him a rotation spot on the teaching list for all new sprouts within the guildhall.ㅤDealer.ㅤ His underworld dealings are held to the same standards as his medicine. Carefully picked, grown, harvested, and compounded-- purity of the highest order is guaranteed. He prefers to distribute his supply to dealers rather than interact with the direct public. Whether you're a dealer looking for a new supplier or in search of alternative pain relief, this alchemist can help.ㅤDestruction.ㅤ Is there someone you wish to brutally and selectively unmake? the conjurer deals a variety of poisons-- from more common strains of belladonna and hemlock to more carefully curated tinctures that distribute a variety of effects from near-instant death to mere inconveniences.

Medicinal Offerings

Medical supplies

All potions are provided at no cost, IC or OOC.

ㅤIn A Pinchㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤa deep maroon-red color, this potion is markedly scented of rolanberry. it's strong flavor chosen to help mask bitter and medicinal herbs within, this potion relies on the naturally quick regeneration of plants to power it's mending capabilities. No aetherical properties.
ㅤStings a bitㅤHerbs chosen for their specific properties to conduct aether, these potions are imbued with the alchemist's aether. They're more effective and able to stabilize folk in a pinch, but aren't recommended as a replacement for a proper chirurgeon. almost terrifyingly blue and vaguely rolanberry-esqe, ask the alchemist about the flavor or color if you wish to know more.
ㅤReversalㅤThis pale-green potion is fit for reversing toxic and adverse effects. A broad cure-all poison antidote, it may not work on every condition. It can be effective on aetherical blindness, confusion, or toxicity. [/random 20: <5 = ineffective].
ㅤFresh AirㅤThis clear potion is almost like a punch to the chest. At first, constricting, but after a moment it's as if you're breathing pure oxygen. Great for high-altitude climbs or lightheadedness, but the rush may be slightly addictive.
ㅤSweet ReliefㅤSweet-smelling, saccharine, softly pink. This potion provides immediate pain relief to those who ingest it. If you consume too much, you're going to get a bellyache, but in the vial-sized doseage provided by the alchemist, it's enough to numb and dull the pain of any injury, from a severed limb to a mere headache.
ㅤLast ResortㅤA thick liquid, colored a red deep enough that it looks murky black, even the scent of this potion is off. The consumption of it sends one into a comatose state, but it keeps them alive. Their body begins to work overtime to repair whatever damage prompted them to drink this in the first place. [/random 20 once per IC day. Must roll a nat 20 to reawaken on your own, or call a chirurgeon to esuna the effects.]
